Martin Campbell,County Antrim IRE-Srongman

martin Martin Campbell from Bushmills has been on the scene of Strongman for the last 10 years. Competing at the highest levels such as UK’s Strongest Man and Britain’s Strongest Man.

Martin has also competed in team shows and international events. Winning his international heat for Britain’s Strongest Man back in 2003, but Martin’s greatest achievement was winning the Finn McCool Trophy twice, with it being crowned Ireland’s Strongest Man.

Once in 2000, and then repeated the feat in 2003 which was Martin’s best year ever in the sport.

Martin always said that you had to win it twice to be a champion. His famous line was a quote from the great four times world strongest man Magnus Ver Magnuson of Iceland, where he said on speaking to Yoko Ahola of Finland (2 times world strongest man) when he went to win the title for the second time,

“Yoko to win it once is good, to win it twice then you are a real champion”

Martin Campbell this makes you a real champion, well done in making the Irish Strength Hall of Fame.
