Jouko Ahola, FIN – Strongman

Jouko “Jokke” Ahola is the strongest man in the world 1997 and 1999. He is from Finland and lives in Hämeenlinna. He is one of the founder members of Hämeenlinna’s Strong Man Group and belongs to International Federation of Strength Athletes (IFSA).

•First position in European Hercules 1995, 1996
•Finnish Open winner 1996
•Strongest man in North 1996
•Car-carrying world record 1996 444kg (978 lb.) 27,6 m (90,5 ft.)
•Strongest Viking on Earth IV 1996
•In year 1995-1996 37 competitions and 34 wins, one second place and two fourth places
•World record in stone lifting: 8 stones in 27 seconds, 10 stones in 54 seconds. Total weight 1460kg (3216 lb.) height 110cm (3 ft. 7,3 inch)

•WORLD’S STRONGEST MAN 1997

1998:
•Winner of Helsinki Strong Man GP, the first IFSA GP competition ever held
•New world record in Hercules holding (45.7 sec, 197 kg, 434 lb.)
•New world record:The heaviest Atlas Stone 215kg (474 lb.) barrel 111cm ( 3 ft. 7,7 inch)
