Dave Warner,County Antrim ,IRE

Dave Warner of Ballymoney has not just proved to be a superb Highland Games and Arm Wrestling Champion, he now has become the first 4 times Ireland’s Strongest Man Champion 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Dave not only won this competition 4 times with it the coveted Finn McCool Trophy, but he has also managed his hat trick of wins for the last 3 years running.  He has won almost every strongman competition that has be put in front of him.His nickname is Dave “The Warrior” Warner and he truly is a warrior.  He doesn’t give up, a real show man, a gritty competitor in competition but a real gentleman off the field of battle.

Competing for over 10 years, one of Dave’s favourite event is the Stones of Strength (Atlas Stones).  Dave is the second man in Ireland to lift the 160kg, 22 inch diameter stone onto a 4.5 foot standard platform, after completing 4 previous stones.Dave also competed in WSM 03 Malaysia and has been a Britains and UK finalist(2nd 2008). At a mature age beating many of his younger rivals.  Dave is likened to a a fine wine with age, a strong body that has much more to give in the world of strength.Dave deserves to be in this Irish Strength Hall of Fame.
